Letter Arrangement
Please enter the first, middle and last name initial in the appropriate boxes provided. The Port Canvas Company will arrange appropriately. With Diamond, Serifs Traditional and Curlicue, the last name initial will be put in the center.

Line Arrangement
As embroidery space is limited, two or three word text is best presented in a stack centered otherwise the letters have to be extremely small to fit the available space width wise. The Port Canvas Company will arrange words for the very best presentation.

Letter Combinations
There are certain letter combinations which do not lend themselves to a good presentation. The Port canvas Company reserves the right to modify the style choice to provide the very best presentation. Every effort will be made to contact you in advance of embroidering your order if we perceive a need to change your initial selection.

Custom Logos
To create your logo, the logo must be interpreted by an embroidery designer. The designer digitally works your artwork into their computer and then into an X Y pattern of stitches from which our embroidery machine stitches.
The Port Canvas Company uses the following firm for the production of embroidery tapes. Impact Embroidery Design is our prime supplier based upon their familiarity with embroidering on canvas and commitment to the highest quality.

Sizing
The designer determines the type of stitch and thread spacing for each area of the design. Designs are made to a specific size. A logo two inches by two inches will take substantially less stitches than the same logo four inches by four inches. The tape maker must know the size of the design before work can commence. It is important to remember the final size is fixed, especially if you want to use it on several items such as canvas bags, shirts and hats. Additional uses should be considered in advance.

Pricing
The cost for making a tape is based upon the number of stitches required to produce the final product. Impact Embroidery Design provides a price to the Port Canvas Company of $19.00/Thousand punches based upon a standard two-week schedule. Faster turnarounds are available at an additional cost.

Quotations
The ability to provide a firm quotation for the creation of a tape is limited. There are many variables which the designer must consider, one being the colors of the thread and the material to which it will be applied. A white logo on a navy blue bag will require tighter thread spacing (more stitches) than gold on natural.

As an example, a 2.5" by 3" Port Canvas Logo required 7,600 stitches, costing $144.40 plus shipping.
A quotation for applying your logo to a Port Canvas product would be readily forthcoming upon review of your artwork and a rough determination of the number of stitches.
